It's official...

I'm a Mesa High Jackrabbit!!!:)

High school has been fun so far. I am loving it! I have only been at Mesa High for a week and a half and I already have some pretty funny stories.

On the first day of school I was walking to my fifth hour and one of my shoes brakes. I was so embarrassed. So I go to my fifth hour with one shoe. Then on my way to sixth hour I was hopping on one foot because the ground was so hot...Guess what happens?!?! My OTHER shoe brakes!! I was laughing so hard because the whole thing was so ridiculous. So now I'm standing in the grass trying to figure out how I'm gonna get to class. The ground was so hot you could literally fry an egg on the ground. I decided I was gonna run as fast as I could to Spanish. I probably looked crazy running down the stairs without shoes on. haha! Every time I think about it I can't help but laugh. After school I was stuck downstairs in the shade trying to figure out how I was gonna get home. I couldn't take the bus because then I would have to walk home and the ground was way to hot. My mom was at school and wouldn't get home for another hour. Luckily I found Jessi and we called Katelyn and she said she would take me home. I ran as fast as I could to her car. It was a crazy first day but so much fun.

This Friday we had the Traditions Assembly. It was a lot of fun. The band played in it. It was pretty fun. The only thing that sucked was that I didn't know the music and we had to have it memorized. The whole time we were up there playing I was pretending to play. Then there was this dance thing that we had to do. I didn't know it at all. haha! I probably looked so dumb up there not knowing anything. It was still a lot of fun though.

So far High School has been a lot of fun. I can't wait to make even more fun memoirs.

Just a quick thought...

Today in Young Women's we had an awesome lesson on service. She had us read Mosiah 2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." This is one of my favorite scriptures.

I know that doing service is very important. Our Heavenly Father has work to do through us. That is just so neat to think about. I am not very good at doing service for others, but when I do I feel so good inside and my testimony is strengthened. Service doesn't have to be some huge miraculous thing. It can be as simple as picking up a pencil for someone who dropped it. I know that if I do service for others I will be blessed.

My mom once told me that she prayed to her Heavenly Father asking him to give her opportunities to serve someone. The next day she saw an old lady in the parking lot of walmart having a hard time putting her groceries away. My mom went over and helped her. She told how that little act of service strengthened her testimony so much, and she was also able to help someone.

my goal is to do at least one act of service a day. I know that if I do I will be blessed and gain a stronger testimony.

10 Days Left

Ten days left till school starts. I am so sad my lovely summer is coming to an end. This summer went by WAY to fast. It feels like we just got out of school.

Mesa is gonna be amazing! I am so excited. But at the same time I am terrified. High school is so big with tons of people. The first day is gonna be so scary. I am gonna get lost. I hope the last ten days of summer go by SLOW!:)
